I was contracted recently to illustrate a Banana Split of all things.  Not something I normally do yet figured it would help keep my sketching skills fresh. Limited color palette using PMS spot colors.

The job was finally printed and I was able to get a pic from the customer before delivering the shirts to the end client. I am pretty happy with the print. Would have been nice to have done the full color version yet this 3 color turned out alright.

Due to client budget I had to revisit the original design and reduce to a 3 color. After some color manipulating I separated the design in full color and then proceeded to combine and remove colors until I got a good look using just 3 colors. The design ended up being separated using a Gray Underbase, Detail White and National Red.

    1-color Left Chest

3-clr Full back (Composite of channel separations.)

The original design was created as a 100% vector design in CorelDRAW. Exported to Photoshop @ 300dpi and manipulated and color separated as channel separations. Here is the original design submitted for approval before being reduced to 3 colors.

Will post pics of the final printed shirt once the job is in production.

RUSH job for a great customer. No information was given other than the name of the group and the shirt color. Here is the final draft and t-shirt layout. 3 spot colors, 100% vector created in CorelDRAW
